Does Europe’s language sector practise the multilingualism it promotes? Or is multilingualism merely a buzzword?

De Taalsector has conducted a survey to capture the voice of Europe's language professionals, and the findings are now ready to be shared.

Join the online survey presentation on Friday 27 March 2026.

Content and objective

The aim of the survey was to understand better how language professionals perceive multilingualism and language diversity in Europe, more particularly in Europe’s language sector, and how these attitudes translate into communication practices inside the language sector as well as in external relations.

During the survey results presentation, we will highlight the main findings of the survey and focus on some of the more unexpected ones. We invite you to join us as we reflect on the survey’s implications for the European language sector.

By participating, you will once again have your say and contribute to what we hope will be a meaningful exchange of ideas among language professionals on a topic that is more relevant than ever.
